Sarah Bailey was born to love children. She has dedicated her life to caring for, teaching, and supporting children and their families. There is never a child who passes Sarah’s world without a smile, an offered hand, a story read, a silly idea, or helpful encouragement. For as long as she can remember Sarah has gone above and beyond for every child she has had the privilege to encounter. Now it’s time for a child in need of such amazement to feel such love and devotion from the mother Sarah has dreamt of being. A bond and partnership between mother and child, between Sarah and Baby Bailey, is a miracle that has been patiently awaited for many years. Please help be a part of this miracle and help us in bringing Baby Bailey Home.
In the Fall of 2012, Cat had invited both Sarah and I to a Boys and Girls Club Fundraiser. I quickly knew that Sarah and I would get along wonderfully. From our first meeting, it was almost as if we had known each other our whole life. She had a certain zest for life that made me feel instantly safe in her presence. Cat later shared with me that one of the reasons that she wanted us to meet was because we were both single females who knew they were meant to have children. I admire Sarah for choosing to go through this process of adoption on her own. Her strength, courage, positivity, and love is something that I know Baby Bailey will inherit from his or her Mommy.
They say it takes a village to raise a child. I can assure you that Baby Bailey will have more love and support from family and friends than he or she could ever need. I am so excited to help Sarah on her path to becoming a Mommy! -Meghan Young |
The day I met Sarah was full of nervousness, anxiety, and concern. Sarah was coming to meet my son and hopefully help him to finally speak. Being a new parent with an 22 month old child who would not talk was terrifying and my heart was full of fear and longing for my child. Sarah eased my worry instantly as she confidently and so effortlessly played with my son for an hour as his new developmental therapist for First Steps of Indiana. She willingly answered my questions, provided guidance and seriously worked a miracle with our child. Before her help he was developmentally behind in three different areas and some significantly so. By time it can around for an evaluation beyond 3 years it was a wonder why he ever needed therapy in the first place. It was as if he never missed a beat and even surpassed a few milestones early on. We instantly became friends over the time my son received therapy and our friendship continued beyond the service need.
I have since watched Sarah go from one significant challenge to another and defeating every last one. She is a warrior with a squishy heart for anyone in need especially children. She has battled a desire for her own child to hold, love, and teach for as long as I have known her. Her determination and strength is an inspiration. She has always been a mother, born for it. I can't express how proud I am of this courageous step she is taking. Baby Bailey has a great life the live and will soon understand the unbelievable gift he/she is going to be given in having Sarah as their mommy. -Cat Wood |
